Cardiff Met is a top UK university for sustainability and offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses across five academic schools. Capitec were commissioned to complete a Hard FM compliance review, across a sample of their estate.
This involved meeting with multiple stakeholders, and carrying out an in-depth compliance review, on technical disciplines such as water hygiene, fire, asbestos, ventilation, electrical services, gas, pressure systems, LOLER, access and security systems, cooling and refrigeration, contractor control, health and safety, working at height, noise management, confined spaces and general maintenance management.
Following conclusion of the review, Capitec were invited back to assist the university in resolving some of the findings of the review, including drafting maintenance instructions, policies and roles and responsibility matrix’s.
