Project Oriel

Oriel is the joint partnership between Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology (IoO) and Moorfields Eye Charity that will move services from Islington to a new, integrated centre in St Pancras, Camden. This creates an opportunity to create a world-leading centre for advancing eye, harnessing the expertise of the partners under one roof, which will enable the organisations to deliver the highest-quality care, research and education.

Capitec have been part of the design team from RIBA Stage 3, offering facilities management (FM) advisory services and input throughout the design stage, and managing the input of FM stakeholders including the management of appointed Authorising Engineers for fire, water, electric, medical gas, ventilation and lifts.

Capitec have been heavily involved in the technical design workstream, working alongside the appointed NEC Supervisor, adding value and operational FM input throughout the design phase.
