University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) is the newly merged Trust comprising University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and Weston Area Health NHS Trust. Bringing together a combined workforce of over 15,000 staff, the new Trust delivers over 100 different clinical services across 10 different sites serving a core population of more than 500,000 people.

Capitec were commissioned to complete a focused fire management compliance review and a wider Hard FM focused estates compliance review. The first review involved an assessment of compliance of both the management of fire related maintenance activity and the management of fire and adherence to the HTM 05 series of guidance. The wider compliance review involved meeting with multiple stakeholders, and carrying out an in-depth compliance review, on technical disciplines such as water hygiene, asbestos, ventilation, electrical services, gas, pressure systems, LOLER, access and security systems, cooling and refrigeration, contractor control, health and safety, working at height, noise management, confined spaces and general maintenance management.

On conclusion of the review, Capitec were invited to assist the Trust with the production of a statutory maintenance task map, outlining what tasks were required and at what frequency, to ensure the Trust were statutory compliant.
