Capitec Support Major SW-Based NHS FT with CAFM Tender Exercise as part of transformation to an asset-based maintenance approach

Capitec have now supported a wide range of organisations associated with CAFM including reviews and wider transformations programme support. We can also support the transition to what is now considered industry best practice e.g. high-integrity asset-based maintenance approaches. These systems use detailed maintenance instructions assigned to maintainable assets (instructions are based on the HTM terms of reference and other key industry standards). This approach done well, harnesses the power of these modern digital systems (inc. associated handheld technologies) to provide very robust and compliant CAFM solution that Hard FM leadership can use to manage assets (including condition monitoring and lifecycle management) FM services under (including specialist maintenance) as well as providing ongoing automated Board Assurance feedback and reporting.

The scope Capitec are commissioned for has ranged from asset verification/capture and labelling of an entire hospital estate, to overseeing and Project Managing others. We have also supported asset survey specifications and CAFM tender exercises (Clients can also access this support via the LPP DPS Framework for Asset Management services). This area can add significant value to organisations (including robust compliance assurance and transformed maintenance, lifecycle and reporting approaches) when done well (it also has the possibility of not bringing the expected ROI when managed poorly).

“We are delighted to have been supporting Somerset NHS Foundation Trust with their plans to step-change their maintenance and CAFM approaches. Mark Batchelor” – CEng & Engineering Lead for Capitec Ltd.
